LUCKNOW SUPER GIANTS
185/3
LOCATION – Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad
After winning the toss and deciding to bat first, SRH managed to score 182. Although the powerplay produced 56 runs, LSG successfully rebounded by limiting the scoring in the middle over half. The best bowler for LSG was Krunal Pandya, who took two significant wickets in Markram and Phillps. For the Super Giants, the top scorer was Klaasen, who scored 47 at a strike rate of 162. In response, LSG made a sluggish start, but a solid 73 between Prerak Mankad, who finished third, and Marcus Stoinis kept LSG in contention. For the majority of the innings, SRH had the upper hand, but an attack from Nicholas Pooran made it seem simple to chase down the total. The West Indian southpaw scored 44 runs off only 13 balls to help LSG cross the finish line with four balls remaining. LSG once more climbs back into the top 4, getting one step closer to a playoff position.
Player of the Game is Prerak Mankad
Prerak Mankad said “Most crucial game for us; regardless of the team I play for, I want to contribute. My score doesn’t matter to me. Because I had played against Mayank in domestic cricket and knew he would try to get me out, I took my chance while trying to hit the spinners but was unable to make contact. I appreciate the management giving me this chance.
