A significant victory for the Titans against a quality team in MI at home. GT scored 50 runs in the powerplay while only losing one wicket, getting off to a quick start. Later, Shubman Gill scored his third fifty of the year. Even though Piyush Chawla managed to take two wickets, Miller and Abhinav Manohar had other ideas for the innings’ later stages. Manohar got 42 runs off just 21 balls, compared to Miller’s 46 runs off just 22. Given GT’s bowling ability, chasing a target of 208 was never going to be simple. In the powerplay, MI was limited to just 29 points and had already lost their captain, Rohit Sharma. The Mumbai Batters were unable to catch their breath as GT continued to chip in with wickets at regular intervals. Noor Ahmed complemented Rashid Khan effectively by taking three wickets while maintaining order and taking two wickets of his own. The asking rate kept rising, and MI was unable to make up, ultimately falling behind by 55 runs.
