MI is good at chasing, and they demonstrated this once more by easily passing 215! Liam Livingstone and Jitesh Sharma’s outstanding batting allowed PBKS to post a high score. In just 52 balls, the pair scored 119 runs, with the Englishman scoring an undefeated 82(42). For MI, only Piyush Chawla bowled, taking 2 wickets for just 29 runs. It was never going to be simple to chase 215 under lights, especially after Rohit Sharma was lost in the first innings of the run chase. Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav, however, had different ideas.The pair launched the counterattack, and the PBKS bowlers were helpless against their onslaught. Ishan Kishan’s score of 75 from 41 and Suryakumar Yadav’s score of 66 with a strike rate of 212 gave MI the upper hand and left PBKS with very little room to mount a comeback. PBKS did succeed in removing the pair, but Tilak Varma and Tim David proved to be equally strong and managed to land some lusty blows in the end. In the end, MI made chasing down 215 with 1.1 overs remaining appear simple.

Ishan Kishan said “I kept for 20 overs so I knew how it was playing. The ground was fantastic for batting. I’ll pursue it if it’s in my line of sight. Because the Keeper wasn’t standing up, I considered stepping outside and striking. Watch the ball and hit, was the message. In my opinion, it makes little difference when you are pursuing 215. In the last game, we played brilliantly and won in the final over. I work to complete it as quickly as I can. Happy with how I did. I’m grateful.
