Shaw and Warner’s 94-run stand laid the groundwork for the middle order to follow. After playing a maiden to Khaleel and losing the captain Shikhar Dhawan for a duck, a massive score of 214 was never going to be simple to follow down. Atharva Taide did succeed in scoring a half-century, but she was unable to match the steadily rising asking rate. When 79 needed from the final four, it was Livingstone who let go. When it was 38 from the last 2, Nortje bowled a game-winning over that cost just 5 runs. Even though Liam Livingstone, the lone warrior, made a few runs in the final over, PBKS was unable to win.
