SRH VS RCB MATCH-65 IPL23
ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE WON BY 8 WICKETS
ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE
LOCATION – Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad
The Royal Challengers easily chased down a difficult total! Following their request for SRH to bat first, RCB made a strong start by taking 2 early wickets in the powerplay. But Klaasen and Markram’s chemistry allowed SRH to get back into the game. Heinrich Klaasen’s superb knock enabled SRH to score a whopping 186 runs. After only 51 balls, the South African hitter went on to knock his first IPL tonne. While Bracwell was one of the RCB wickets, Mohammad Siraj was the most effective bowler. In retaliation, the Opening duo of Faf and Virat came out swinging and attacked the opposition from the opening delivery of the innings. The SRH bowlers had little chance to enter the game thanks to a partnership of 172 between the two. The more aggressive of the two, Kohli, went on to score his sixth century of the year, while Faf amassed 71 runs to reach his eighth half-century of the year. RCB ultimately disregarded the target and finished the chase with 4 balls remaining.
The player of the game is Virat Kohli.
Virat KohlI said “Given the importance of the game, this is somewhat unique. I believed SRH received a very nice grade. Ball also had a grip. Faf was operating at a higher level. I’ve played in a couple of low-key matchups. I wasn’t transitioning towards the middle when I was hitting in the netting. I personally have never reviewed my former performance and have not given their record against us much thought. I already overwork myself to the point where I lose sight of my six IPL centuries. I don’t give a damn what people on the outside think. I’ve never played as many complicated shots as I do now. After the IPL, there will be a Test match, so I must maintain my technique and be optimistic“.
